Today, I stood underneath the wings of a majestic cherry tree. It was 25 feet tall, and overflowing with perfect white flowers like an angel with weeping arms of falling petals. I walked inside the open space of the exquisitely veiled canopy, and let the wind rustle around my ankles, lifting the long hem of my skirt, in the swirling early morning breeze.
I felt like the bride of spring, as the petals gently fell, like white raindrops, all around me. A sense of new found hope has pushed inside my chest and penetrated the darkness that has dwelled within me, for so very very long.
I think I am emerging.
World, this is ME!
Life is welcoming me back, Spring is calling me home.
I have been ungathered for so long.
Today, I found myself underneath a cherry tree.
and the world never looked so open and forgiving to me
