simple is the gentle fluttering, I feel when you are standing next to me, and it mystifies me, how all at once, we can be so complicated and yet, at the exact same time, the things that I want, when I am with you, are really, just all so god damn simple.
Sunday brunches sharing thick slices of sugar dusted pecan and banana french toast, glazed with melting butter, while sipping ice cold mimosas's in elegant long tapered glasses as a jazz band plays in the distance,beneath the clinking hum of patrons and then shopping for groceries at Whole foods, and trying to decide from amongst the many exquisite little treasures what to make for dinner, and then going home, with pastry boxes and an arm full of long stemmed lilies, and trying to artistically stuff them into a crystal cut vase, while the meadow fresh scent of fabric softener lingers in the air, as our clothes tumble dry in the glass fronted new dryer, and we lounge around lazily, on my down sofa sharing crisp sections of a newspaper, and plan a trip to some far off distant place in New Jersey called Ikea.
