and so it was, a few days ago, that I found myself, parked outside your house, while sierra slept.
and the screen door was open.
and you were home.
and the door, that I walked through, before.
seemed so closed to me now.
and in this silence, in this space of my guilt and pain and sadness
sierra slept, crumpled over, in her vulnerable sweetness, strapped into her carseat, with her sippee cup in one hand and a pack of teddy grahams in the other
and the only world that she knows...
her world with me....and her dora the explorer dvd played on....
I try so hard to keep her safe.
I am living with the choices, that I have made. and fighting to accept the choices. that you have made.
( but oh if you only saw her, you would know that you were wrong, you would know where she belongs)
Please god. forgive us all.
