Sierra and her best friend, Naomi.
I love that sierra is such a wonderful little companion , she is a real presence with an opinion on EVERYTHING now. She chooses her clothes on their twirlability, because she must DANCE! And Dance and dance and dance!
oh how she loves to dance, every song on the radio, every commercial with a jingle, and she is up and dancing.. telling me proudly. MOMMY ! I DANCE! Mommy NOW YOU DANCE!
and so we do. as silly as it sounds, as silly as it seems, I love nothing more in this world, than dancing with my baby girl.
Today, we are at my parents house, and sierra is having a barbeque and gorging herself on hot dogs and running in and out of the little pool with buckets of water to splash me! and oh how she giggles whenever she does.
these simple things. define me now..
and I have so let go. of you... you who once haunted me. I seldom think of you, oh to be free of such unrelenting longing... is such a relief.
now I am much to busy. living la vida Sierra.
and for that and so much more, I am just to goddamned grateful.
and Sierra really does make me stop and smell the flowers.
