2006-11-15 - 10:30 a.m.
I have had an ordinary day, like most any stay at home mom, of a young child, but i thought I would share with you, some of the details.
it may only be midmorning, but so far today I have...
taken sierra's temp, gotten her motrin, put the dog out, made sierra a sippee cup if ice water, brought it to her upstairs, put on her favorite dvd, gotten back in bed, to snuggle with her, only to have her vomit into my open hands, comforted her while holding aforementioned puke, calmly gone to the bathroom, cleaned myself up, rushed back into bedroom, to clean up sierra, stripped the bed sheets, gave sierra a bath, put laundry in, did dishes, scrubbed and bleached kitchen floors, living room floors and hallway , made homemade chicken and pastina soup for sierra, spoon fed her, while rocking her wrapped cozily in a soft fleece blanket, carried her sleeping form, back upstairs, laid her back in the clean bed, made a few phone calls, answered a very important email, that may lead to something good, picked up all the toys on the floor, put the dog back out, folded the laundry, put it away, and now, here i am.
with much of the same,in front of me, for umpteen thousands more hours on repeat,
but oh, in between there is such sweetness,
the other day,
sierra asked.
"Mommy, you my mommmy?"
such simpleness. in it's meaning.
yes baby. with every breath in my body, I am so grateful, to be your mommy, and you my love,
are forever, my precious, precious baby girl.
