Sierra and I have been so busy, in the past few weeks. first there was the start up of school

And then, we went to b.uffalo for the weekend, with auntie tara, who was interviewing for a great new job as an attourney at a top notch law firm, which she subsequently was offered and accepted! She will be working in the family law dept, and is very excited. Anyway, while we were there, we decided to check out the buffalo zoo, where I fell half in love, with a male silverback gorilla. he seemed so sad, and bored, and we spent a long time, engaging him, And he was very interested in looking at us, he kept making eye contact then looking away, then looking right back , to make sure that we were still there. long story short. my cell phone fell out of my purse, and somehow spent the night, in the gorilla exhibit. and i had to return the next day and search for it, which i did, and i found it in the mulch outside the viewing window, here.

part of me is disappointed that he never called me! that same day, we managed to squeeze in a day trip to canada to marineland, where sierra had the amazing opportunity to hand feed a beluga whale, and give her a pat on the head! she loved it!

and then, the next weekend, we took a short trip up to lake placid, to visit friends, and sierra discovered her inner pool shark

and finally ,last weekend, we had a quick visit to the Catskills, to visit my sister and her family, to celebrate Uncle Andy's birthday. and we spent it picking apples
