2003-11-17 - 8:50 p.m.
a puppy named ruby is laying at my feet. She is deep deep shades of smooth brown velvet at midnight. She and her sister, were abandoned yesterday, at the grooming shop, where my sister works. Tomorrow they are going to be featured on our local news.
She is so lovely and sweet, a sort of lab, bull stafford and god knows what else - mix.
When she tries to run to fast, she trips over the tangles of her own feet. Tonight, while I was watching t.v. she curled up in the soft plush wedge of my lap and it was like having my own personal heating blanket. When I got up to walk to the kitchen, she trotted at my heels and followed me whereever I went .
I am sad that she was abandoned. But she doesn't know that she was, so we won't tell her. ok?
She needs a good home, a warm lap to lay in, bare feet to curl up on, someone to romp and play with.
I named her ruby, I don't know why.
I also had a Dr's Appt today and heard the baby's heartbeat again. It thuds so rapidly, but seemed slightly slower than last time. I mentioned this to the dr. and she said.
the baby is probably sleeping.
my 4 1/2 inch, baby. was sleeping.
something about that image seemed so precious and overwhelmingly sweet to me.
I love this baby.
more than my heart can contain.
and something tells me, that ruby
( who is sleeping now, too)
is already home.
